Remote Area Surcharges
There are certain areas outside USA which are considered as "remote" by shipment companies. So they charge a Remote Area Fee equivalent to USD 60 for shipment to such destination. Customers are required to pay this to receive such parcels. It is collectable by us on behalf of shipment companies.
Customs and Duties
Any sort of customs or levies are payable by customers. We do not collect this fee on behalf of Customs Department except for UK, Ireland and Scotland Customs, where we are required to collect and remit such fee from customers. Provision of documents for customs clearance is responsibility of customer.
SPECIAL NOTE (For UK & EU):
When an item has to be shipped from outside our UK facility, we provide two shipping services options for customers to opt from represented by "Economy International" & "Worldwide Expedite" for UK & EU, each with its own specific features as explained below:
1-Indirect Method (Rep. Economy Intl.) where your parcel is first shipped from our US facility to UK facility and then from UK facility to respective customer location. Salient features for this method are:
-100% certainty of delivery in all UK, Ireland & EU
-Almost 75% discount is customs duty charged by Customs Department of recipient country
-For UK, free Clearance Service covered by HSBE (excluding customs duty as levied upon the parcel by customs department to be collected & submitted by us on behalf of the customer)
-For EU, almost 80% less documentary requirement for Customs Clearance.
-Delivery Time is around 10 business days for UK & 2 weeks for EU.
-Two tracking numbers will be provided per shipment, first from our US facility to UK facility & then for from our UK facility to Customer location. Both tracking numbers are provided on the same day as dispatch of the order from our US facility. The first tracking number becomes active within 24hrs of provision and the second become active after almost a 5 to 8 business days (for shipments within UK) or 8 to 10 business days (for shipments to EU).
By default, we opt this method as it is 100% secure and cheaper for customers and is represented by "Economy International" during checkout (which a customer can change too as explained below).
2-Direct Method (Rep: Worldwide Expedite) where your parcel is directly shipped to your location. Salient features of this method is:
-Quick and direct shipment, usually good for expedite deliveries to meet time constraints. Usually takes around 5 business days to deliver as opposed to 10 business days for indirect shipment.
-Customs Clearance is totally on the customer for both UK & EU and no discount can be guaranteed in customs duty as levied by Customs Department.
-One single tracking number using expedite freight services like DHL Express, FedEx Worldwide, UPS Ground International etc which becomes active within 24hrs of provision.
By default, this method is not selected because it is expensive as well requires customers to deal with all the hustle related to customs clearance, unless customer opts this option by selecting "Worldwide" freight during checkout.
